Rescuers rush to pull 22 victims from water after boat bursts into flames in Long Island Sound

A boat burst into flames near Hart Island in the Bronx Saturday night, with rescue efforts underway to pull nearly two dozen victims from the water, according to law enforcement sources.

First responders rushed to the scene after the vessel caught fire and sent 22 people into the Long Island Sound, sources told The Post.

The NYPD’s Harbor Unit is on scene, police said.
