Jets’ free agency strategy relies on a risky bet and a strong stomach

The most common reaction to the Jets’ free agent signings this week has been, “Who?”

Outside of the Justin Fields deal, new coach Aaron Glenn and new general manager Darren Mougey have brought in mostly players who are unfamiliar to even diehard NFL fans. 

It has shown what their philosophy is in their first year on the job. They are not going to chase big-money free agents, unlike some of their predecessors. 

This is a sound strategy, if you also can draft really well.
