Duke’s ACC Tournament chances took a massive blow on Thursday when Cooper Flagg went down with a sprained left ankle.
Blue Devils head coach Jon Scheyer said after the game that his freshman star is a “long shot” to play Friday, leaving his team vulnerable with another game against rival North Carolina in the semifinal round.
Duke has taken care of the Tar Heels in two matchups this season, winning by double digits in both games, but this is a completely different Blue Devils team without Flagg.

Duke vs. North Carolina ACC Tournament betting preview
The Tar Heels have been playing excellent basketball of late as well, winning nine of their last 10, with their only loss coming to the Blue Devils.
A win over Duke will do wonders for North Carolina on Selection Sunday, while two more wins will secure their tournament berth.

On paper, even without Flagg, Duke is still the better team, but I’m fading the squad without their best player with plus-odds on their opponent.
The play: North Carolina moneyline (+250, Caesars Sportsbook)
