The Yankees’ bullpen will be without one of its star relievers for an extended period.
Luke Weaver could miss between four and six weeks with the hamstring injury he sustained while warming up during Sunday’s game, according to ESPN‘s Jeff Passan.

An official timetable will be determined Tuesday, the outlet added, and it could force Devin Williams to step back into the closer role after he was demoted earlier in the season.
Weaver has collected a 1.05 ERA across 24 appearances this season, and he blossomed as the Yankees’ closer at the end of the regular season and during the playoffs in 2024.
