And the Oscar for best streaming platform goes to… not Hulu, apparently.
Tonight’s Academy Awards ceremony marked the first time that Hollywood’s biggest night would be streaming on Hulu in addition to its live ABC broadcast. However, those attempting to stream the show have been struck with issues, with some missing out on catching moments like Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande‘s stunning performance live.
“Hey Hulu, get your shit together!!! No one can watch #TheOscars right now on your service!” someone ranted on X, tagging Hulu and its support team’s accounts.
Another streamer proceeded to notify Hulu and the streaming platform’s support support accounts, writing, “Just to recap: Hulu streamed a red carpet program with no problem, then instead of going into the Oscars went immediately into an episode of 20/20, and then crashed and made it impossible to watch the Academy Awards. Great job.”
“Oh hulu I better be getting a DISCOUNT bitch,” another critic added.
“#Hulu owes me a damn refund right about now. All that advertisement about streaming the #Oscars2025, only for the site to not work,” someone else acknowledged.
