Attention Game of Thrones fans: There’s a new George R.R. Martin adaptation coming to the big screen, and it’s called In the Lost Lands, opening in theaters this weekend.
Based on Martin’s 1983 short story of the same name, In the Lost Lands is an epic fantasy tale of a werewolf named Gary Alys (played by Milla Jovovich) and a fearsome hunter named Boyce (played by Dave Bautista), who are sent on a quest to retrieve a valuable artifact. Of course, along the way, they are faced with dark, dangerous enemies. You know how those magical quests tend to go!
Also starring Arly Jover, Amara Okereke, and Fraser James, In the Lost Lands was adapted by screenwriter Constantin Werner, and directed by Paul W. S. Anderson (best known for his Resident Evil franchise, and not to be confused with filmaker Paul Thomas Anderson.)
It sounds exactly the kind of epic fantasy adventure that Game of Thrones fans have been craving since their favorite show went off the air. Here’s what to know about where to watch the In the Lost Lands movie, and when we expect to see the In the Lost Lands movie on streaming.
Where to watch the In the Lost Lands movie:
For now, In the Lost Lands will only be available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in select theaters in the U.S. on Friday, March 7. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. In the Lost Lands is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.
Is the In the Lost Lands movie streaming on Netflix or Prime Video?
In the Lost Lands is not streaming on Netflix or Prime Video right now. While it’s possible In the Lost Lands may stream on Netflix someday, it won’t be until after the theatrical run and digital release of the movie. In the Lost Lands is not a Netflix original—it’s a small, independent film being distributed by Vertical in the U.S.
You will be able to purchase In the Lost Lands on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream In the Lost Lands on Prime Video free with a Prime subscription, because it is not a Prime original movie. If you want to watch In the Lost Lands movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms.

While there is no formal (or, at least, publicly known) output deal between Vertical Entertainment, two previous Vertical movies, Your Monster and Elevation, began streaming on Max a little over three months after the movies opened in theaters. If In the Lost Lands follows a similar pattern, you might see In the Lost Lands on Max around June 2025.
When will the In the Lost Lands movie be on digital?
The In the Lost Lands digital release date has not yet been announced. However, we can make an educated guess as to when we might see In the Lost Lands on video-on-demand, based on the digital release of previous films from this studio, Vertical.
Another Vertical movie, Elevation, was released in theaters on November 8, and was released on digital platforms on November 29, about three weeks after opening in theaters. If In the Lost Lands follows a similar pattern, you might see In the Lost Lands movie on video-on-demand around March 28, 2025.
But this is all speculation. Digital releases vary by title. If you want to see In the Lost Lands right away, you can catch the movie in a theater.
