Patrick Schwarzenegger is praising his White Lotus co-star Lisa, on the heels of the Blackpink singer and rapper’s solo album launch.
Speaking to Rolling Stone on the heels of his own launch — a White Lotus-inspired campaign for Banana Republic — Schwarzenegger says he got to know Lisa on the set of their hit HBO series, where the two instantly became “great friends.”
Schwarzenegger even reveals that he got a sneak peek of Lisa’s Alter Ego album while filming The White Lotus with her last year. “I was introduced to her song ‘Rockstar’ when I was out there in Thailand, and she played us a snippet of her other one, ‘Born Again,’” he shares. “So it’s cool to see these songs come out that she’s been working on.”
While Schwarzenegger sheepishly admits that he “didn’t even know who [Lisa] was” before they started filming, he reveals he’s now “become close with her.”
“She’s a good friend, and she’s cool, and she’s super nice to me and my fiance, and that’s what I care about the most,” he says. “It’s been amazing to watch her continue to grow her career and see how multi-talented she is with the acting and then with her music career and the modeling and so much more.”
Of course, Lisa isn’t the only multi-talented and multi-faceted actor on the set of The White Lotus. Schwarzenegger is putting his modeling chops to use as the star of Banana Republic’s new capsule collection, inspired by the Emmy-winning show.
Available March 6 in select stores and online at BananaRepublic.com, the 24-piece collection is the latest in a string of White Lotus collabs, and features travel-ready pieces for men and women in rich hues and tropical prints reminiscent of the show’s Koh Samui locale. Nods to the Asian paradise abound, with patterns and motifs that pay homage to Thailand’s culture and landscape. The limited-edition collection “channels the show’s signature escapism and intrigue through Banana Republic’s legacy of craftsmanship and storytelling,” reads an accompanying press release.

For Schwarzenegger, working with Banana Republic was a full circle moment, having grown up shopping at the local BR store at the Santa Monica Promenade. “That was the place my mom and my dad took me to get khakis and stuff for church,” he tells Rolling Stone. “I remember going there all the time.”
Now 31 and slightly more adventurous with his personal style, Schwarzenegger says Banana Republic remains a go-to in his wardrobe. “I was actually quite shocked to see how beautiful their new collections are, and how different it is from when I grew up going there,” he says. “I’m obsessed with this suede trucker bomber they have that looks very Celine-esque, and even the suit that I wore to The White Lotus premiere was this vintage, kind of double-breasted [suit] from their archive collection,” he notes. “It’s still classy and very Banana Republic, but at the same time edgier and cool.”

Schwarzenegger is turning heads — and trapping thirst — with his role as Saxon, the buff and cocky eldest son of the peculiar Ratliff family. While his butt-baring scenes and outlandish lines have inspired countless memes online, the actor and model says his character couldn’t be more different from who he is off-screen.
“I don’t pay attention to everything, but my fiance tells me that on Tiktok there’s something about my character that people are obsessed with,” Schwarzenegger says. While he dives right into the attention-grabbing risqué scenes, he chalks that up to being an actor and confesses that, “I’m way more insecure or shy than people probably think. I mean, I’m confident in who I am as a human,” he offers, “but not necessarily in ways that are, you know, applicable to this character.”

“Honestly, that’s just a testament to Mike [White, show creator], that he’s able to create these characters that just cause such a stir and a conversation, and then just building that with me. I’m honored to be able to be part of it,” Schwarzenegger says, adding that fans should “buckle up. There’s a lot more to come.”
