The 7 best crib sheets of 2025, tested by parents

The new parent punch list can feel neverending, but if there is one thing that should be pretty straightforward, it’s selecting the best crib sheets for your brand-new bundle of joy.

Only sleep-deprived parents really understand the connotation of sleeping like a baby — and those who do also understand the burning desire to find anything, and I mean anything, that will help their little one catch those ZZZs. Not just the best bassinet, trendiest cribs, or portable pack-and-plays, but also the softest crib sheets for their babies to snuggle up with late at night.

Since all parents want the cream of the crop for their precious prodigies, we’ve enlisted help from all our Post Wanted parents — including Frank Massaro, Ryan Murphy, myself, as well as some trusted mom friends for the best recommendations on crib sheets. Below, find all of our babies’ favorites from Nestig to Posh Peanut, and all the other baby brands in between.

We’ve found organic crib sheets, bamboo crib sheets, and cotton crib sheets. There is definitely a sheet with your little one’s name on it (yes, there are indeed personalized crib sheets, too). We’ve researched materials and safety to ensure your little one is lying atop the best sheets in the business.

Typically, we would say don’t sleep on these deals, but in this case, we want you to. Hopefully, with the right fit, the whole family will be snoozing awat soundly!

  • Fits snugly and sits smoothly on the mattress
  • Loads of color options and patterns
  • GOTS-certified
  • Smart knit fabric stretches (makes it easy to put them on the mattress)

  • Material feels on the thinner side, per testing

For a solid crib sheet that stays in place, we recommend the KeaBabies Organic Crib Sheet. These fitted sheets are designed with SnugFit technology, making them stick well to the mattress and sit smoothly without wrinkles. Made of 100% premium quality jersey cotton, they’re also exceptionally soft, sleek, and breathable. Of course, we appreciate the compostable packaging, too.

New York Post Review: KeaBabies has been a go-to bedding brand for my daughter, from the newborn to toddler stage,” shared commerce writer, Miska Salemann. “Lately, she’s been in the habit of grabbing and pulling anything she can get her hands on (bedding included), so I wanted to find a crib sheet that seriously stayed in place. The elasticized band on the KeaBabies sheet pulls over the crib mattress easily and provides a super snug fit, so I don’t have to stress over the corners sagging or fabric bundling up. There’s also a bit of stretch to the fabric, which makes it super easy to take on and off for washing.”

Pros:

  • Bamboo viscose is safe for sensitive skin
  • Slight cooling effect (ideal for hotel sleepers)
  • Matches with other Posh Peanut blankets, clothing, and home accents
  • Material is moisture-wicking

Cons:

  • Maybe less suitable for babies who run cold
  • More expensive

We love Posh Peanut’s range of celeb-approved baby fits, but the crib sheets are also a popular choice among health-conscious parents. The bamboo viscose build makes them silky, soft, breathable, and safe on sensitive skin. They come in a range of cute prints with other matching home accents like blankets and pillowcases to complement your nursery decor.

New York Post Review: “My daughter has somewhat sensitive skin and also tends to be a warm sleeper,” said Upper West Side mom, Elise Lopez. “These sheets are so buttery soft, slightly cool to the touch, and breathable. She melts right into them and seems to enjoy going into her crib at night to sleep. They’re machine washable and fit onto both a standard crib mattress and a toddler-size mattress, so they can grow with her as well.”

Pros:

  • GOTS-certified
  • Stylish designs and patterns
  • Sheets come in a pack of three

Cons:

  • Fewer color options than some other brands

These fashion-forward crib sheets are a favorite of the Post Wanted team, adored for their durable yet soft cotton construction and range of stylish, colorful designs that blend seamlessly with different nursery decor. They’re also GOTS-certified, made from cotton grown without harmful synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. One set includes three crib sheets, so you have plenty of backups for changing. We consider it the best value buy, as far as crib sheets go.

New York Post Review: “Delta children’s sheets have been our go-to not only because they have great designs but they are incredibly soft and breathable,” explained Commerce Partnerships Manager and dad-of-one, Ryan Murphy. “You don’t realize how often you’ll be needing to change sheets, and having a pack that is different colors/designs definitely helps switch things up and remind you which sheets NOT to put on.”

Pros:

  • High-quality, handmade by artisans in Brazil
  • Customers say the prints are stylish and on-trend
  • OEKO-TEX-certified, non-toxic, all-natural dyes

Cons:

  • Shoppers should expect longer shipping than Amazon

The Spark Crib Sheets pictures above are part of an expansive collection of artful crib sheets, each with its own unique designs and styles suited for a variety of nursery aesthetics. Each set is handmade in Brazil by local artisans with decades of experience making bedding for children. The cotton jersey material is OEKO-TEX certified, non-toxic, and made with all-natural dyes. Nestig is also a great destination for nursery inspiration — there’s a marvelous selection of bedding, cribs, furniture, and more!

Customers are saying: “I really like these sheets. Nice and soft. My 5-month-old baby girl gets hot very easily and these sheets seem to do well with her body temperature. The only thing is if you are planning on purchasing the crib, order the sheets like three weeks in advance, the sheets take a while to come. So you can have the sheets at the ready.”

Amazon

Pros:

  • Durable material (hasn’t shown signs of piling or fading, per tester)
  • Holds up well after washing
  • Snug elastic keeps the sheet on tight
  • 4.8 stars on Amazon

Cons:

  • Some popular colors and patterns are sold out
  • Some wrinkling out of the dryer

The Burt’s Bees Organic crib sheets are some of the best in the game based on quality, style, and affordability. The well-made cotton build keeps them soft and smooth without showing signs of piling and fading that might happen with some lower-quality sheets. Our tester, NoMad mom Shelby Karivalis, says these sheets are the softest, safest, cutest, and most durable sheets on the market.

New York Post Review: “There are so many reasons why I am a Burt’s Bees mommy!” exclaimed Karivalis. “The sheets are 100% organic cotton, so there are no harmful chemicals or plastics that could irritate your baby’s sensitive skin. Also, because they are pure cotton, they are breathable and can handle frequent washes. I have had no issues with pilling or fading. They do naturally wrinkle out of the dryer but because they fit the mattress so snugly, all the wrinkles disappear. The sheets come in a ton of different colors and patterns making them perfect for any nursery. My personal favorite is the white sheet with the pink elephants.”

Shoppers say these sheets arrived faster than expected, especially since they require an extra step for personalization

Pros:

  • Super soft and gentle on newborn skin
  • Budget-friendly
  • 100% Cotton Muslin has an open weave for optimal airflow (super breathable, per testing)

Cons:

  • Some customers say these sheets are on the thinner side

Comme partnerships manager, Frank Massaro — and his adorable brand-new baby — are big-time fans of Aden Anais bedding. So far, they’re loving the brand’s incredibly soft swaddle blankets, but they’re also planning to grab the crib sheets when it’s time to make the transition from the bassinet. The 100% Cotton Muslin features an open weave for optimal airflow, making them some of the best breathable crib sheets for year-round comfort.

New York Post Review: “We are new to the parent game, but at this moment we feel we would be hard-pressed to find swaddles/bassinet liners more comfortable and flexible than Aden Anais,” said Massaro. During the first couple of days and weeks of being a parent, you naturally gravitate towards your ‘go-to’ items to comfort your baby. The designs are cute and the material is unbelievably soft. It makes me wish I could be swaddled as an adult, honestly.”

How We Tested

We tested the best crib sheets, considering multiple factors, including safety, durability, material, and design.

  • Safety: When it comes to any product for babies, we evaluate the safety first. For crib sheets, we tested to ensure these sheets fit over the mattress properly with no loose fabric. We checked to ensure the sheets were free of any harmful chemicals and dyes, and we also made note of any crib sheets that were GOTS-certified.
  • Durability: Durability is paramount. We’re looking for sheets that will last the test of time (as well as some spilled milk and the occasional blowout). For those reasons, we washed these sheets numerous times to see if they held up well and didn’t pile, wrinkle, or stain.
  • Softness: Since most of our little ones can’t talk (or at least, speak in full sentences), we decided to feel these sheets ourselves and compare them to others we’ve slept on in order to review the softness, silkiness, and smoothness.
  • Design: Design and aesthetics are subjective when it comes to bedding, but we considered the number of color options, styles, and patterns available and how well-made the crib sheets appeared. We also checked the stitching to ensure straight, clean lines.

What is the best fabric for baby bedding?

The best fabric for baby bedding will depend on a number of factors, including your baby’s skin sensitivity, allergies, and heat-level preferences (which could depend on the humidity and temperature of the environment you live in). Make sure to search for crib sheets made with soft and breathable materials, including cotton, bamboo, cotton muslin, and linen — which tend to be gentle on babies’ skin.

What is the best bedding for a baby?

For in-depth guidance on safe sleep, refer to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. According to CPSC, it’s important to only use products intended for infant sleep that meet federal requirements. Remember that “Bare is Best,” which means nothing but a fitted sheet in a crib, bassinet, or play yard. Do not add any pillows, blankets, weighted blankets, or weighted swaddles.
